Scores have been hurt and one injured in largely peaceful gas-attacks and religiously motivated knifings across the Middle East today following the discovery of a hitherto unknown Koranic verse in which a well known prophet, who is revered by Muslims, defames himself, an act which is anathema to Muslims.The outrage was probably caused by Zionists, according to a statement issued by the Mujahideen Shura Council (an extremist umbrella group), “although it is not known in what sense.” Others have blamed an old episode of Star Trek.
